History of Edgecliff Village, Texas
Located in Tarrant County, Edgecliff Village, a suburb of Fort Worth, is a quiet community that began as The Village of Edgecliff “along Sycamore Creek and the surrounding farmsteads” until incorporation in 1951.
Following incorporation, The Village of Edgecliff grew at the hands of the tight-knit community members. Three housing additions were built before the first City Hall in 1961, which was followed by a newer City Hall/Community Center that was built in 1990 according to the Edgecliff Village website.
After the population growth in 1961, the town name was changed from The Village of Edgecliff to Edgecliff Village.
