History of Dalworthington Gardens, Texas
Dalworthington Gardens has a rich Texas history dating back to 1934. The area was established during the Great Depression as a subsistence homestead program. The program was created under the National Industrial Recovery Act’s authority and was administered by the Department of the Interior, all under Franklin D. Roosevelt’s presidency. It is well known that Eleanor Roosevelt took an interest in the homesteads and visited them frequently.
Dalworthington Gardens and other homestead projects aimed to allow industrial workers the opportunity to live close to the industrial centers where they worked part-time and be close enough to home to tend to their main food sources their gardens and farm animals. There were only five homestead projects in all of Texas and Dalworthington Gardens is the only one that remains in existence today.
The city of Dalworthington Gardens was named as an amalgamation for its proximity to Dallas, Fort Worth, and Arlington. Within a year of establishing the community, Dalworthington Gardens was already at 85 percent occupancy. By June 29, 1949, the homestead residents voted to submit a petition to incorporate their community as a town officially.

While this number seems small and almost insignificant compared to the number of reported crashes in larger, neighboring cities, it’s wise to remember that residents travel outside of the city limits every day and ultimately increase their chance of being involved in a car crash.

Process of Pursuing Your Claim
Beginning with your initial call or visit, we will obtain the information relevant to your claim to determine if we are the right fit to help you through this difficult time. We will ask you simple questions and, in some cases, even investigate outside information such as police reports and insurance carriers to determine the facts relevant to representation for a personal injury claim. If we are the right fit for you, and once you have signed a contract with our firm, we immediately begin opening your claim with the insurance carrier. Our staff will send Letters of Representation so that the insurance adjusters know they can no longer contact you without our permission, and everything goes through our firm. No more harassing phone calls!
If you are still injured and needing treatment but do not have a physician who is willing and able to give you the help you need for your injuries, we will find a provider we can recommend to you and even help set up your first appointment. While you are treating, we remain in contact with you and your physicians so that we are all on the same page with the progression of your healing.
We work tirelessly to keep all medical records and bills up to date before the next phase of your claim, sending the insurance carrier’s demand package. Once your treatment has concluded and you no longer need medical care, or your claim’s circumstances are such that a demand is necessary earlier, we will package your medical bills and records into a settlement demand against the at-fault insurance carrier and any other entities responsible for compensating you. Once all parties have received and reviewed your demand package, our attorneys remain hard at work negotiating a fair settlement for you.
We will never settle without your consent, and we will always be honest with you if we believe your case is worth fighting for fairer compensation through the litigation process. We want you to understand everything we do, every step of the way! Call 817-784-200 to work through the process with a Patterson Law Group lawyer.
